Karl E. Weick

Karl E. Weick PhD is the Rensis Likert Distinguished University Professor of Organizational Behavior and Psychology at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. His research interests include sensemaking under pressure, medical error, hand offs in extreme events, high reliability performance, improvisation, and continuous change. He is co author (with Kathleen Sutcliffe) of Managing the Unexpected: Assuring High Performance in an Age of Complexity. Weick received his BA at Whittenberg College and his MA and PhD at Ohio State University.
