Kathleen Sutcliffe
Kathleen Sutcliffe, PhD, is Professor of Management and Organization at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Her research is concerned with organizational reliability and she is currently examining medical mishaps and errors. She is the co- author (with Karl Weick) of Managing the Unexpected: Assuring High Performance in an Age of Complexity. Sutcliffe holds a BA in Education from the University of Michigan, a BS in Nursing from the University of Alaska, an MSN from the University of Washington, and a PhD in Management from the University of Texas, Austin.
