Sam Stringfield
Sam Stringfield, Ph.D., is a Distinguished University Scholar, Acting Chair of the Educational and Counseling Psychology Department, and Director of the Grawemeyer Award in Education at the University of
Louisville. His research focuses on the improvement of academic achievements of disadvantaged students. He is the editor of the Journal of Education of Students Placed At Risk (JESPAR), the author/editor of
six books and over 100 articles and chapters. His recent work has focused on international issues in the education of at risk students, improved data use in education settings, and in the application of HRO
principles to schools in the UK and USA.
